Pre-Listing Home Inspections

About Pre-Listing Inspections

A pre-listing inspection is a home inspection that is conducted before a home is listed for sale. The purpose of this inspection is to identify any potential problems with the home that could affect its sale or value. The inspection is typically performed by a licensed and certified home inspector who will examine the home's structural components, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC systems, roofing, and other major systems and components.

The pre-listing inspection report will provide a detailed description of any issues found during the inspection, along with recommendations for repairs or maintenance that may be necessary to ensure the home is in good condition. This report can be helpful for the seller in determining an appropriate asking price for the home and can also be used as a negotiating tool during the sale process.

By having a pre-listing inspection done, the seller can address any issues before the home is listed, which can potentially speed up the sale process and make it less likely that the sale will fall through due to unexpected issues discovered during the buyer's inspection.

Benefits Of Choosing A Pre-Listing Inspection

No Surprises
Having your own inspector allows you as seller to be aware of any issues within your home before a buyer approaches you. This allows you a better understanding of your property and can help speed up the transaction.

More Choices = More Freedom
By having a pre-listing inspection done, you now have the freedom to address any issues found in the inspection report or leave things as-is. This helps sellers negotiate through the inspection phase of the transaction.

Marketing Benefits
You can present the inspection report to potential buyers, giving them a peace of mind that you as a seller are proactive in addressing issues in the home. This can also help the buyer purchase your home with more confidence.
